Our History - Bury German Shepherd Dog Club

Bury and District German Shepherd Dog Club is entirely run by volunteers and is a non profit making organisation. The club was formed over 35 years ago and all the dog trainers and committee members run the club for the love of all dogs - not just german shepherd dogs - and the belief that a well trained dog brings you and your dog closer and teaches the legality of dog ownership.

The aim of our dog club is to socialize dogs and teach the owners and their dogs obedience, the club stresses to owners that it is them, as well as their dogs, that need training and brings a better understanding of what your dog is thinking and why it behaves in certain ways, which in turn helps the owners learn how to change certain attributes in their dog that can cause them problems. The dog club is not only good for dog training, but is lots of fun and a good place to make new friends.
